Garden project

I've been struggling a bit with phojo lately so decided maybe a new challenge was required.

The camera club were looking for volunteers to be part of a project to record a season in a walled garden in Liverpool. So I thought this could be just what I need!

There's an important botanical collection here in the greenhouses as well as some interesting plants and designs in the gardens. The garden is part of an estate run by the council so the gardeners are fearful that it will be subject to funding cuts if they don't raise the profile of the space and the plants in it. There'll be an event at the end of the summer where the photos will be exhibited as well as online.

The weather wasn't too good for taking photos today so I just wandered around and got some ideas of what I'd like to do on my next visit. The garden isn't open to the public yet so it was good to have access to everything while it's still work in progress. It was very warm and humid in the greenhouses which made my camera steam up so I came outside for a breather and liked the light on the greenhouse roof.

Hopefully, the garden will feature often in my 365 project over the next few months.
Great leading lines, silhouettes, gray sky...It sounds like a great project :).

Wonderful sombre tones in your image. Is this Calderstones Park? I lived very near there.

@ellida hi Graham, it's the Victorian walled garden at Croxteth, very similar to Calderstones though.

The sky looks ominous. It is always good to have a project to sink your teeth into when your phojo is low.
