My parents, sister, and her family came to celebrate Dylann's birthday today. We always have a piñata to break open but, in the winter months, it is harder to get outside to let them swing away at it. Instead of risking the lives of our indoor furnishings by setting children loose with a bat, there have been times when we have compromised by playing "Find the Piñata" (when we hid the Elmo piñata...he was behind the curtains and it took them a really long time to find....that was nice....), the time when we let them all kick and stomp on it (....children can be violent little creatures and it was really rather disturbing), and then there was the dumping of the Spongebob pìñata contents over the upstairs railing to eager children below. (I am pretty sure the speed/distance/blow-pop equation factored into the many near concussions suffered on that one).

Today we decided to play "Hot Piñata". There were 14 people when the game started. If you were holding it when the "Hot Piñata" chant stopped, you were out and had to sit in the middle of the circle to wait until the winner, Ryanne, got the priviledge of dumping the candy on your heads.

Here is Garrett passing the piñata to Dylann as Taylor waits in the background. And, yeah, it's an Easter egg piñata....that's how we roll.
I love how your family is always ready with the smiles. You have trained them really well. Great shot of a good time
