It's not every day that I see a tree full of peacocks. Actually, it's only ever been today. They were far, far away on some private property but we saw their silhouettes from the road and turned back because all we knew was that it was a tree full of very big birds. When I zoomed in, my jaw dropped. There were at least ten of them and you could see their long tails hanging down from the branches on a couple. (I thought they were dangling branches but then they moved with the birds) I think there may have been some pea hens as well. The tree was very tall and old and they were near the top. We watched as they, one by one, flew down and landed behind some out buildings. One all white one in the bunch. It was very surreal. One, we don't see many peacocks around these parts. I know of one house near us that has a couple that roam their property but, other than the zoo, we just don't see them. Two, although I knew they could fly (I have heard of them being discovered perched on peoples roofs) I just never imagined seeing them that far up.
