France played Scotland in one of the first matches of the 6 Nations Rugby Tournament yesterday. As part of the celebrations, and to commemorate the auld alliance between Scotland and France, there is always a parade of pipe bands, Scottish and French, at Montmartre. You can just see the Sacré Coeur in the background. Sadly, Scotland lost the rugby match, 15-8 that evening, but it was a good match, and Scotland played well.
Fabulous composition with the Sacre Couer dome in the background and the characteristic street cobblestone of Montmartre. The Band's uniform is beautiful. Love this capture. FAV
Great capture! Pipe bands always make me nostalgic. I went to one of the few high schools in the USA with a pipe band (we were the Highlanders.) I get teary whenever I hear Scotland, the Brave, no kidding.
