Took this photo a few days back, but kept him on the sidelines for a while. Time for him to appear now, in the absence of anything else more interesting!
@Weezilou I think it's a carrion crow, but as there are so many 'similar' birds; crows, ravens, etc., I opted for Corvus - they all fit into that category!
Handsome bird, really, but then I find crows/ravens very interesting. The branches frame him nicely and he stands out prominently against the light-colored background. Nicely photographed and framed.
