Went out for a cycle ride with my friend (pictured above) yesterday. Small drama as I got a puncture when we were 22 miles away from home. I'm pleased to say that I had the necessary repair kit with me, the tube was repaired within half an hour and off we went again! Happy Days. Not perhaps the most scenic spot for a photograph, but I thought it was very 'French' - shutters on windows, grape vine and that old road sign which I love. Shame about the barrier in front though.
The fact she's smiling says the day had its happy moments despite the punctured tire. Good for you, getting it fixed in no time at all (and for biking such an impressive distance.) (Nice bike — I'm a TREK fan myself.)
@jamibann My Trek is hoping I do more trekking this summer than I did last. We're about to head out for a bike ride here shortly so that should make it happy.
I love cycling, but unfortunately the motor vehicle drivers here have no regard for cyclists. It's traumatic to cycle on any of the roads. Looks like you've been cycling at a good pace going off the swept back hair of your friend.
Thought I'd pick "the people pix" to comment on, and I must say, you're an impressive cyclist and a prepared individual to take care of your own bike. I quite admire all you did! I love this very French location and your smiling friend!
