Autumn 'Elagage' by jamibann

Autumn 'Elagage'

Cutting back the trees (élagage) in our street is quite a task. These massive vehicles come in and trim the sides and tops of the trees. All motor cars in the street are warned not to park there whilst the work is on-going, but I see one small white car who didn't get the memo! I took this from our upstairs bathroom window as I watched the work going on yesterday morning. Fascinating.
Oops - hope the little car survives!

It's a major but necessary operation, isn't it? You can barely see the guy up high, he's so well camouflaged!

What a lovely tree-lined lane you live on. The car is dwarfed by the size of the machine! Perhaps it was a small car to start with.

I love it when you share a new word with me; this time "hessian" for what I call 'burlap'. Thanks for the complimentary comment on my bread picture. I finally enjoyed a slice this morning. Mmmm... tasty, it was.

Nice natural capture -- a street scene without the people. Looks like a nice neighborhood.
