Walking in an Autumn Wonderland by jamibann

Walking in an Autumn Wonderland

Taken on Sunday. I went out for a bike ride along the forest paths. What a glorious day!
I would like to be walking there!

It looks like a perfect day for a bike ride, the light and the leaves are wonderful. Looks like you were not the only one who had that idea. :)

Wonderful low POV -- it captures the feeling of activity in such a beautiful setting. Great lighting as well.

"Gone away are the green leaves, here to play are autumn-sheen leaves... Walkin' in an autumn wonderland." (I'll be humming the Christmas tune for the rest of the evening now!) Bet the leaves sounded wonderful under your bike tires.

P.S. I happened to glance through the comments on the coffee mug photo and saw your question about the book. (I'm still trying to catch up on the comments shared on the bird house photo.) "Sailing Alone Around the Room" is a book of new and selected poems by Billy Collins. My aunt gave it to me as a birthday gift a number of years ago. She heard Mr. Collins read some of his work on the Garrison Keillor radio show and thought I'd enjoy it as well. I've just started reading it and am hooked. The book made it into yesterday's picture because its cover had autumnal colors that complimented my favorite fall mug. More an more of my books are stored in my iPad these days which as you said, don't exactly work as well for creating a photo.

@lyndemc Thanks for taking the time to reply on this one Denise. Poetry is nice to pick up and put down again - it's very different from reading a novel or a work of non-fiction. It was the perfect prop too for your photograph. :-)
