17:46:46 on the camera, but it was definitely 17:47 on the iPhone. Had a lot of fun doing this shot and looking at all the photos from all over the globe coming all through the day on FB. Definitely doing it again next year!
I popped down to the village to get the shopping, and on the way back went via the river to find a good spot to wait for 17:47 to come round. I got some strange looks from folks, hanging around taking photos of my rather ancient pushbike, but I knew what I was up to!
@dridsdale@lisainstpete I only heard of this event last year when it was too late and I thought it sounded like a fun thing to do, and very easy to participate in. So, I was ready for it this year, and encouraged some of my non-photographic friends to participate too - they loved it. Definitely something for next year girls!
Nice shot, Issi. I had no idea about the Worldwide Minute. How'd you find out about it? It's an annual thing? I need to put that in my calendar for next year! Is it the same time every year on the same day? I love your bike with the wild growth behind it. It's very eye catching!
@prttblues Hi Bev! Not sure if the date and time remain constant, but this is the third time this event has taken place. I remember hearing it about it on 365 last year, but too late to participate. This year I saw the notification on 'themes and competitions' on 365, and so I noted it in my diary. Hopefully you'll get to participate next year too!
Great photo, Issi! I've never heard of the Worldwide Minute. Will have to Google it so that I can be ready for next year. Is it always the same minute (1747)?
@desertaura Not sure if it's always the same time or not Beverley, but I imagine it will at least be the same time of year - assuming the organiser does it again next year! I think this was the third one, but it's the first I've participated in.
