The Weight of Oneself by jamibann

The Weight of Oneself

This sculpture by artists Elmgreen and Dragseit stands on a pedestal at the edge of the river Saône in Lyon just outside the Palais de Justice. It stands 2.7 m high. The title of the sculpture comes from the fact that both bodies are identical.
Fantastic composition against the sky and the city. Great capture.

This sculpture is very interesting with this architecture placed behind as it is... Really cool.

Excellent one. I find it can be challenging to do a nice composition with a statue. I think this one came out great.

@pennystot I hadn't realised that was your neck of the woods, Penny! It's a beautiful city and was a first visit for us. Boy were we spoiled for choice of restaurants! The buildings may not be as glamorous as in Paris, but we were well impressed with everything we saw.
