Block printing

These really are the final images from India. This is a printing block. I thought it looked rather beautiful sitting in the sunshine. On my odds and sods album, you'll see the block and the hands printing the fabric. I did manage to buy a nice hand printed table cloth before the Indian currency crisis prevented me from spending any cash!

The light has caught the block's pattern so perfectly. I can only imagine the amount of work put into printing a tablecloth or some other stretch of fabric. What patience they have.
