What a sweet little flower... it is lovely to see colour returning to the garden ... we have had signs of the cooler weather is coming to day ... major flooding around some areas...
Clearly you knew I'd love this and your wonderful textural finish! I've never seen that flower, but with several friends by that name, I'll be curious to know if they're familiar with their namesake plant!
@Weezilou It maybe doesn't look like it from this photo Louise, but it's a type of heather - a Winter/Spring bloomer. I have lots of friends called Heather too! :-)
Got it! Yes, we have Heather growing in the yard, and if I scale down the size in my mind, I think they're one-in-the-same! Funny how scale can play mind games!
"365 Lessons" strike again! Ken and I were in a botanical garden today, and *there was Erica*! I did a double take and checked the plant tag...sure enough! I told Ken I'd just learned about this on 365 and would have to tell (the person) that I saw and photographed it! I thought it was Annie who'd posted it, but then I remembered your flower postings! ...and people think we're only thinking about them when we post comments...
@Weezilou Ha ha ... I'm glad I came up in you and Ken's conversation at the botanical garden! Love the very idea. You'll now visualise perfectly the Erica in my front garden - I have 3 different colours - white, pale pink and darker pink. :-)
No sign of spring weather here. It's raining all day and it's only 5C.
