Ceanothus by jamibann

Ceanothus

A couple of years ago, we moved a large lavender bush to a new spot in the garden and it seemed to thrive in it's new position, much to my surprise. However, much to my surprise, again, after two years of being perfectly happy, it died. Completely. Dead. No life at all. So, it's been replaced by this ceanothus, which I hope will be happy in our garden.
These are lovely blooms!

Lovely shot and dof. We have a ceanothus which is lovely when it flowers but ours is rather large and woody - it may not have long...!

Very pretty replacement Issi. I'll cross my fingers for your new addition to your garden. May it bloom year after year. :)

The plant looks to be happy as suggested by these lovely blooms. I like how the shallow DOF has the details coming into focus as the flower leans towards the camera. Pretty, pretty.

I hope this one understands how lucky it is to be in your garden and makes a strong effort to hang in there! It looks beautiful. I like its color tones.
