Another busy day in May! Last night I was at a Book Reading in Montmartre. THIS is the view from the lounge of the hostess's apartment! Just fabulous. She can see La Défense on the right of the image, the Eiffel Tower in the centre, and the Tour Montparnasse on the left. This is my friend Julie hanging out the window taking an iPhone shot before the guests arrived! The book reading was by author and New Yorker columnist Lauren Collins. She is married to a Frenchman and has written a book called 'When in French'. I must get it, the extracts she read were quite entertaining. This is her website, if you're at all interested : http://laurenzcollins.com
And now, I'm off on my bike again. Happy Wednesday!
Helene's a Parisian, and even she is impressed! @parisouailleurs You find yourself in a lot of good company, Issi. I have to say, your friend (Shirley's?) stained glass window still holds my heart in check!
A wonderful view, I love Paris, but it's 6 years since our last visit, lucky you! Have a nice bike ride, our temps are mid 20s today, hope you have nice weather too.
Wow! That's certainly an amazing view! Excellent shot! I checked out the website for Lauren Collins and read the New Yorker excerpt for 'When in French'. I liked it a lot and will definitely get the book. Thank you for the information! :-)
What an amazing place to call home! Love that there's Julie in it to give it a sense of warmth and the personal touch. Will check out the website and send to our Vaison friends.
Some want riches, some success—I'd just love to live right there and I'd be happy for the rest of my life.
