Whilst waiting for Mhairi to undergo her surgery yesterday, I went for a walk in the Jardin des Plantes, very near the hospital. It was windy, so not the easiest day for plant photography, but I got some nice shots nonetheless. I loved this zinnia whose name is 'Queen Lime Red'. Just perfect.
I also met a wonderful volunteer gardener who had been a physical education teacher, but was 'forced' to retire at 66 years of age. She now works at the gardens and was full of enthusiasm for all the plants and her work there. A delight to chat with her.
Beautifully captured, Issi! Zinnias are such lovely flowers and I agree, 'Queen Lime Red' is the perfect name for this one. So happy to read your comment that your daughter is doing well. :-)
Best wishes to Mhairi.
