I was walking around the small ponds at the Jardin des Plantes, admiring water lilies and pond plants when I realised that I was looking at a moorhen family one of the pond areas. Mummy Moorhen did not like it when I got too close with the camera, and the chicks were well hidden amongst the long grasses, so a shot was very difficult. This is heavily cropped and a blade of grass across the babies has been photoshopped out, but aren't they just so cute?!
Oh, my goodness! Absolutely adorable! Definitely made me smile! I love coming across scenes like this so unexpectedly! Great job with the Photoshop editing...not a trace of the blade of grass showing. :-)
