The last Johnny image from me ... Paris Match was making the most of his demise - these guys were everywhere. As I walked up the Champs Elysées, I overheard an older man giving the Paris Match salesman a hard time, telling him it was 'indécent' to be selling these magazines on the day of his funeral! However, lots of people were buying!
Certainly shows an alternate motivation for being there to recognize the artist for all he'd contributed. So it's a great street shot for telling a story.
Yes, I think that is definitely taking advantage of an unfortunate situation to make a buck. I hope they were at least reasonably priced. I like how you captured him holding the magazine so Johnny's face shows in the photo.
@randystreat Yes, they say he's the greatest rock and roll singer that you've never heard of. He was incredibly popular in France, but not very well known at all on the international stage.
