Canongate Café, Edinburgh by jamibann

Canongate Café, Edinburgh

We had a walk around Edinburgh on Saturday morning, prior to going out to Murrayfield to watch the match. This was taken on the Royal Mile. I love these old Police Boxes which have been made into cafés and small shops in various spots around the city.
A great image! I love the old Police box which looks different to the boxes I saw in London - remember the Tardis? I need to visit Edinburgh.

A great photograph, and a good result for you, I am still crying.

It's nice they are still being used.

@peterday Thanks Peter. We were so fortunate to be at the game! I have to say it was exhausting just watching! England always had the chance of taking the game, especially when they came out, guns blazing, after the first half and scored a try almost immediately! I do feel we deserved the win though - every 10 years is not too much to ask!

So interesting! I agree with Henri...it's nice that they are still being used, keeping a bit of the past alive. The Edinburgh School of English sign also caught my eye...is the school located in that fenced-in building?

@gaylewood Yes, I believe it is - it's an old church.
