Seen on the streets of Edinburgh at the weekend. There were many pipers out and about - earning some busking cash and taking advantage of people's good humour after Scotland won the Calcutta Cup (Scotland/England rugby match) for the first time in a decade!
@stefanotrezzi Yes, it was quite the event! We never expected that result. I was so happy to be there to witness it! Very nerve-racking to watch though.
Great photo and great result! Now can they sustain the positives? Some day perhaps I'll get to a big game but I'm not too happy in large crowds so.....
Ahhh...home again! In Lunenburg, I love hearing/seeing the pipers when they're part of a wedding ceremony as they stand in front of the Inn across the park from us and I always have time to run our for photos! They cut a gorgeous image!
We love bagpipes! With our Scottish heritage and last name, my daughter always wondered why we didn't give our kids bagpipe lessons. They have been taught here in town for years. I don't know. Wish we had. Instead they took pianp, and daughter also took and played clarinet.......
