CDG airport in Paris is not always the most popular airport with visitors. In fact I know lots of people who actively avoid passing through if possible.
The last time I travelled, I thought all the staff were borderline rude. This time, I am pleased to say, everyone was friendly and polite and it made my passage through quite a pleasure! Why can't it always be like that, I wonder. I know it can't be a delight dealing with 'Joe Public' every day, but I'm sure the staff have more enjoyable days when the customer is happy! Anyway. Rant Over.
I was also pleased to discover that this new Guy Martin (I Love Paris ... not sure about the name??) restaurant has opened in Terminal 2E Porte L, which made my wait there much more pleasant. I had a lovely breakfast there. Fresh orange juice, pain au raisin and a café allongé.
We're about to head off into Aberdeen for dad's operation. It's snowing. I could do without that. Fingers crossed that it doesn't get too bad before we get home tonight.
I hope it goes well. :(
If it helps., I enjoyed the airport and loved talking to the gate agent tellimg how wonderful it was to speak my horrible french the whole time! I said it in french and she said I did well. Everyone was so nice. But Starbucks was a fortune. :/
How lovely that there is something new and pleasing there. It's amazing how the ethos of the staff can hugely affect the experience of a place. All the very best to your Dad for his op and for you being nurse!
