This was the weirdest of experiences. I had been told that the Rue St. Dominique is the only street in Paris where you can see the Eiffel Tower, but also get a photograph including residential appartments and shops as well. So, I went in search of the street, walked down it (a very long street, running parallel to the Seine, but a couple of streets back), and kept turning round to see what I could see, walking away from the Eiffel Tower. Initially, I thought I'd been told a lot of nonsense, as I couldn't see the Eiffel Tower at all. However, as I got further away, it appeared, and it seemed to get bigger as I walked away from it - to a certain point. Anyway, here she is, in all her glory.
This was taken on Tuesday, and now I'm in Oslo. I'm in my hotel room and hoping for the rain to go off. Looking forward to dinner with my girl this evening and a day of exploring tomorrow.
Awesome Eiffel Tower image and such an interesting experience capturing it! Glad you persisted and kept walking. Hope you have an enjoyable time with your daughter! :-)
