The local Fife Arms Hotel in Braemar is currently being refurbished and is to become an exclusive 5-star hotel, opening soon. As part of the decor, the owners wanted to have portraits of local worthies displayed in the hotel. Dad was one of the people chosen to have his portrait sketched. We have yet to see where it will hang in the hotel - but I'm looking forward to seeing it! I feel that the artist has captured dad perfectly, and that it was a fitting image for me to post on Father's Day.
