The Duke of Rothesay Highland Games Pavilion

This building in Braemar was opened by the Queen on the 1st September. It is however not yet open to the public.

Dad was asked to go over yesterday to look over the exhibits and fact check some of the historical data - prior to opening to the public. He wanted me to come with him and I was able to take some photos inside too. However, I promised not to share them until after the centre was open to the public - sometime in the new year, I believe.

It is a beautiful building, and inside is a café and an exhibition which covers the history of the Highland Games in Braemar and the surrounding local areas. There are some great old photos there too. I'm looking forward to a cup of tea in the café and a further browse once it is fully open.
what a lovely building - good on you for not letting out photos yet, even though we would love to see them, it wouldn't be sporting ;)
