Doing what we love to do in this part of the world. We went walking near Braemar - around by Clais Fhearnaig ... out by glen Quoich and back by glen Lui. A lovely circular 16 km walk in very mild weather - you can see that the snow has all but gone. This was taken by the black bridge on the river Lui, having set the camera up on the bridge. Fife Arms hotel photos coming up soon.
I love Paris. Issi but many operations and failing back really stops me from going. Luckily we have been several times and taken in all the major sites so I don’t feel left out when I see all the wonder photos you have posted!
Lovely photo Issi.....what happy & active lives you two lead! Our mutual friend is meeting up with my daughter tomorrow, traveling down to Preston area with Heather.
@lesip He he it’s a good question, Leslie! We carry more than you might imagine. The Cairngorms can be treacherous, and the weather can change in minutes, especially in winter. We therefore go the whole hog, even for relatively short walks. Survival blanket, compass, map, dry socks, whistle, first aid kit ... and then water, pack lunch etc. My dad, as former leader of the Mountain Rescue in the area, could forgive me for needing rescuing one day, but could never forgive me for being out in the mountains unprepared and not carrying the correct emergency kit! :-)
Fabulous photo of the two of you! I think all the hiking you do together is absolutely wonderful! Your husband must definitely be enjoying his retirement. :-)
