Our Village

Well, we've been back living here for 8 months now, so I thought it was time I shared an image of our village, Ballater; population 1500. This is the main street, Bridge street. The river (and the bridge) is behind me and our home is a good deal further up this street, heading towards the bottom of the hill you see in the background.

Ah, you are further north and east than I imagined! What a beautiful setting for a vilage. Looks so Scottish to me. Really suits the monochrome.

It's a lovely place....I used to drive there for school visits and it was just so beautiful. The population must grow a lot in summer when special events going on!
