It was a very rainy day in Boston yesterday, so we started off with breakfast at Stephanie's, followed by an Uber ride over to the JFK Library, which was really interesting and full of very interesting displays and informative videos. This photo is taken in the hall of the building, which was designed by architect IM Pei, who also designed the Louvre Pyramid, amongst other things. In the afternoon we visited the Boston Tea Party Museum and ended up the day with an evening at the Ball Game, watching the Red Sox play the Texas Rangers. A great day considering the weather. Today it's the Freedom Trail and an evening at the theatre. Feeling very lucky to be celebrating the beginning of my 59th year here in Boston. :-)
Love all those intricate interlocking lines...sort of fascinating, you have to keep looking! You have truly celebrated your birthday in the best possible way!
Fabulous building... when we visited we loved being able to hop on an off buses at will while following the freedom trail. Don't forget to visit the Old North Church - the oldest church in Boston and the starting point for Paul Revere's epic ride.
I found this place absolutely fascinating - but in the contents and the architecture. So glad you're able to take in so much of the Northeast.on your trip
@vignouse We never actually used the buses - but probably should have! My feet might have been in better shape today! The Freedom Trail was really interesting, and we didn't miss the North Church!
Great patterns and lines!
Sun shining today after very grey and wet week!!
