Our Tuesday visitor brought us a lovely box of macaroons from Fauchon. I thought they merited a photograph before they were all scoffed! This one is raspberry and vanilla and was enjoyed in between hedge trimming sessions - which will continue today, as the weather is going to be nice again. Our box hedges have got seriously out of control over the past years, and so we're trying to bring them back to a manageable size again.
Mmmm, Fauchon! The first time I was in Paris was to visit the British Embassy so that I could visit Russia with a party led by our Parish Priest. What a palaver! Afterwards, I had some self indulgence at F to recover my sangfroid. I bought some neapolitans in a particularly attractive sliding pink tin, ostensibly for R. Said tin, long since empty, guards my fountain pens, which I use as much as I can...because they dramatically facilitate improved handwriting.
Poser, moi?
@s4sayer Yes, I'll be keeping our pink box too - even though it's only made of cardboard. Haven't got a use for it yet, but I will! Your Russian trip sounds very interesting.
