After my little wander on Aberdeen's beach, I went to the nearby Sand Dollar for a coffee. It was mild enough to sit outside, but I was harangued by seagulls and starlings, all determined to get at my scone. There were numerous starlings in front of me, and I was fending them off. When I turned around this little lot were lined up behind me. I felt quite intimidated! Anyway, as the camera was out, I turned around and got a quick capture of some of my spectators! They may be a nuisance, but they're rather beautiful.
Who would have thought their feathers had these gorgeous markings & colours! They look so ordinary most of the time but your light here has brought out hidden beauty! Daughter & SIL are up in Braemar this weekend for the games!
@happypat Yes, my brother and sister-in-law arrived yesterday too! We're heading off to Craigellachie this afternoon, so will miss the Games this year. I think they're going to get decent weather, albeit a bit cold. Fingers crossed.
