Today we went to visit Tokyo's Samurei Museum - very interesting - followed by a walk in the Shinjuku Gyoen Garden. A little oasis in the centre of the city, surrounded by tower blocks. We're going to watch today's Bronze final rugby on the big screen at the hotel. Only 3 more days left in Tokyo, before the long flight home.
Those trees are a lovely contrast to the high rise buildings behind, I particularly like the ’lacy’ one! Wondering if you are one of the lucky ones with rugby tickets? Safe journey home!
@happypat The lacy one is known as the Cocoon Building - and it does look a bit like that. Reminds me a little of London's Gherkin. Yes, we are lucky, we have tickets. Bought about 2 years ago though - before we had any clue who would be in the final match!
From this vantage point, you'd never guess you were so close to the bustling city! They certainly need their green spaces, and they're always so pretty!
Very grey at home today
