Early November, Aberdeen Art Gallery re-opened its doors after a £34.6million redevelopment which has taken nearly four years. There has been a lot of talk over the years, as the cost of the work went way over budget (what doesn't?!).
I was in Aberdeen yesterday, on Black Friday - that was a mistake - I never knew we did Black Friday in the UK!! Anyway, I met a friend for lunch and took an hour to have a quick look around, as I've been dying to do so for weeks. It is lovely and I will go back again when I have more time.
As I wandered around, taking in all the magnificent pieces of art, I looked up to see a man on the glass roof, either cleaning or fixing something. His head was obscured by the steel beam, and I found it rather amusing to see.
So this time around, I give you the man on the roof, and maybe another time I'll give you a piece of art! :-)
St. Andrew's Day today. Have a good one and don't forget your haggis!
😊😊 I had to zoom in to see this properly.....very interesting perspective.
I haven't been to the new gallery yet but noticed that the Triple Kirks development across the road from it has certainly changed the area for the better. Hope to see the gallery soon.
