An Oystercatcher Couple

These two were enjoying the sun on Sunday. On Monday the river had risen and their stone was no longer there. Not caused by rain, but by snow melt. Summer must be coming. :-) BoB.

they look to be identical to our pied oyster catchers. Always good for a shot with those bright beaks and eyes.

I've only seen these birds once, when we were traveling in galapagos. Because of that, they are magical to me. I love that you were able to see the pair!
