I have more dramatic images from yesterday's hill walk, but I liked the solitary aspect of this one. Hubby had stopped to remove a layer of clothing and I turned round to see him coming towards me on the summit. Beinn a Bhuird means Mountain of the Table. There is a vast table-top summit with about 2 km between the north and south tops. We walked to both because is was such a fantastic day, and in Scotland it is rare to experience time on the summit with very little wind. Usually you get off the summit as fast as you can! It ended up being a very long day - 10 hours on the mountain, and 38 km. A fish supper on the way home was our just reward. :-) Better viewed on black.
That is a great capture...the silhouette of hubby there on the horizon.....that rather strange barren looking summit....what a long walk & no mention of your sciatica, dare you believe it’s gone?
@happypat Well, it's certainly gone from what it was and I no longer need to take medication, but it's left me with a pain at the back of my calf muscle and a tight hamstring. I'm working on that though. I seriously hope it's gone for good - I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy!!!
the perfect touch and sense of scale
