I went for a solo walk yesterday afternoon, as I needed to clear my head, having spent the morning with my dad going through paperwork with him. I took the camera, of course. There wasn't much of note, as it was a fairly dull, windless day, but this one red apple hanging on Wee Jim's ancient tree caught my attention!
I have never seen so much lichen (?) on an apple tree. I suppose that really does indicate how old the tree might be. Great pop of red the apple provided.
Great catch- it's these little gems that really catch my eye. Such a great contrast in texture and color. I hope the walk was exactly what you needed. It sure produced a lovely photo!
