Mother's Day Flowers ... what's left of them. by jamibann

Mother's Day Flowers ... what's left of them.

I'm a little disappointed as I've already had to do a decant of the flowers I got from the kids on Sunday. Half of them had withered. Such a shame as I'm sure the kids paid plenty for them. Anyway, the best of the remaining ones have been resurrected and will last a few more days, I'm sure. Happy St. Patrick's Day to all!
lovely DOF

Lovely shade of pink.

That's a very pretty pink lily.
So disappointing when special occasion flowers don't do as well as expected. And particularly when prices can be so inflated for some events!!

A beautiful soft pink....hope you’re rested a bit more today & you’ve managed to speak to your dad. Worse than dropping the kids off at boarding school.

Lovely image! I have heard there have been many complaints about the quality of flowers sent this Mother’s Day! So sad when they are so pricey at this time!

@happypat Dad is fine, but I couldn't say happy. Not yet. We get lots of contact from him, and not all of it is spirit lifting. But I'm happy to say I had a call with him yesterday evening and he sounded fine. It's so difficult not being able to go and see him, and sort the little things in his room that are frustrating him. That would just make all the difference. But, it is what it is, and we have to deal with it as best we can.

A lovely capture of the surviving blooms. I’m hoping the first two weeks pass swiftly for you father and yourself ...and that you can soon visit him at the end of the month, in his new surroundings.

Lovely flowers and so sweet of your children to send them. The flowers may fade but the thoughts and love will be recorded forever in this picture.

@jamibann The worst possible time to leave a loved one on his own, if you could have popped in every other day or so it would have been so much easier for you both! It’s times like this that it really hits home re the pandemic when normally it hasn’t affected us greatly in our everyday life perhaps!
