As we cycled home from Mount Keen yesterday evening, we passed this lovely little cottage, which is a refurbished train station from back in the day when trains ran from Aberdeen to Ballater. The cycle track you see is part of the Deeside Way, and runs along the old railway line.
We are heading off to Dundonnell on the west coast tomorrow for a few days, so internet connection and time for commenting may well be sporadic! Bear with me, folks!
Same thing here, the old railway going from Cortina to the valley is now a cycle track, punctuated by many old stations, some refurbished some not. You gave me the idea of posting one of those in the next few days! I ‘m as always amazed by your energy! Have fun!
A very charming building indeed. It’s almost a picture book perfect place to live in…..the cycle track running alongside is very tempting! Enjoy your little break!
