Dallas, 1960 by jamibann

Dallas, 1960

I'm afraid I'm posting another of the slides I've been digitalising. I was going through a box and realised that they were not in fact my dad's slides, but my grandparents. Here is one taken by my grandad, of my granny, brother Johnnie and me, the baby, in our garden in Dallas, Scotland. I've never seen this photo before. What a lovely surprise it was! How I loved my granny.

I'm woefully behind in commenting, but will get on the case tomorrow.
Motherhood does not change huh - the basis remand the same through the times. Such a lovely shot!

It's a lovely family photo and it must be really nice to look back on all the others you have there while you put them on the computer.

Hidden treasure in those slide boxes - our families never really leave us, they keep popping up in unexpected ways.

Issi, what program are you using to digitalise your slides? They are in great condition by the look and how fabulous to have these memories.

@teodw I'm using a very simple App called 'slide scan' and then transferring all the photos to labelled files on a different, but linked, App called Photomyne. I use my computer screen as a backlight and activate the voice recognition on my phone which gives me the best chance of a decent photo without blur. Sometimes I get reflection of my phone on any darker slides though. There may be better ways, but this works for me and is reasonably rapid.
