This was taken as we descended Sgurr a' Mhaoraich on Sunday. Just over an hour after being on that very misty top. Things can change so quickly in the mountains, it constantly surprises us! It keeps you on your guard, that's for sure. Across the water is Monday's Munro - Gairich.
@phil_howcroft I'm keeping a Munro Book, Phil which will definitely be on the coffee table when complete. It's simply entitled 282. It's been in the making for almost 5 years, and I hope to have it completed (along with all 282 Munros) by the end of next year. At least that's the challenge, but I'm always very aware that between John and me there are always 'things' to go wrong physically which might stop us achieving our target within our self-imposed time frame. The deal is that we do them all together, so that adds a little extra pressure from a timing perspective.
@illinilass Ha ha ... John the dinosaur. His bag has a green waterproof cover on it, which has a bit of air in it. Hard to imagine needing a cover when you see the weather in this image, but we did need it earlier. However, in winter we do carry a lot of spare kit, including ice-axe and crampons, so the bag is pretty heavy.
The beauty of both the munros and the myriad of weather conditions is something I'll never tire of seeing. It makes me wish I could do them as well, but thankfully I can at least experience them through your pictures. Great shot!
