@swilde@loveroflola - thank you! @maggiemae - it got a fresh snow coat this week. No-one lost up there at the moment to my knowledge. It wouldn't be a good time for climbing it as the avalanche danger is pretty high. Lots of skiers on the Crystal resort side, and snowshoers at Paradise.
The mountain still looks fabulous especially with the lighting, but it is a shame about the signs and wires. However, we have signs and wires and more signs and wires, but no beautiful mountain behind it all!!!! Lol ;)
@andrina - LOL Andrina. Yes - I always think how lucky I am when I come out of the grocery store wondering how I could possibly have spent that much on two bags of shopping - then I see the mountain and realize how fortunate for such a view. @thresheg - thank you for stopping by, Graham. Glad you like my pic. @blincodave - ha Dave - I miss tescos. @bristolrose@mamamia@steviepix@cathieg@judis - thanks kindly - glad you like it. I Had planned to go to downtown Puyallup after appt but time was marching on and I needed to get home - so photo-ops were getting limited.
Very beautiful light on that mountain. I think overhead wires should be outlawed. Funny that I didn't notice them that much before I started doing photography - now they are a real distraction.
so so pretty...I visited there a couple summers ago and did a small hike. The guide told us this fabulous story about an older man who hikes it everyday...he's like 80 yrs old...it was a great story, wish I could remember it all.
Mt. Rainier ... such a beautiful mountain. When I see so many exotic places in the photos of 365project, I forget how lucky we really are to live in the PNW.
Great shot!
@vitamink - Not long before you will get to see them again. :-) @rhos - Thanks Ann. @sansjuan - I agree, Nita. When we were looking for a new house, I can't believe how many we saw were under or within view of major power lines. Yuck! @megmills - Thanks Meg. I am glad you got to see the mountain. There is an older couple in Ashford who go hiking up there pretty much every day - trying to remember their names - if I do, I will let you know. @genesis_one - Thanks Corrie! @anwan - Yes - we are out in the boonies. There is one a mile from our house - very small and not much selection. We now have a small co-op we can get some things from. There is a small Safeway a few miles closer but not a great one. @eyesmile - Yes - I love it and we are so lucky to be close.
Hallo! Hallo! I've just started following your photos! I have MANY shots of our local "mountains of home" in my 365 albums. Feel free to look around. I'm especially fond of Mt. St. Helens....
