No hiking on Saturday - had to do mundane things like grocery shopping, a trip to Costco and the dreaded housework.
I did go to the farmers market and found a new vendor who sells organic eggplant and peppers. We eat a lot of Mediterranean types of meals so when eggplant is in season I buy a lot. Haven't had this kind before - it's a prosperosa I think. I set it on a fence post to take the pic with my bridge camera that I rarely use any longer.
It's has the lovely purple of the egg plant that I know! I would expect it to be just as delicious! I like it but found out years later, that they didnt!
@eyesmile@mamamia@maggiemae - thank you! I have found most people I know who don't like eggplant just haven't had a good dish made with it. :-) Joanne - most farmers markets in our area have them now.
