This was taken a couple of weeks ago - I had shared a similar one but when I was going through some of the thousands I have taken this summer, and moving them into folders, I thought you may like to see this one. It was taken just below the visitor center at Paradise. The building in the foreground is where some of the climbing rangers stay when they are on call.
Today was an awesome day. I used my lunch break to go to the Post Office and pick up the flash drive my son sent to me with his wedding photos. The box was awfully big for a flash drive. When I opened it, I found my son had enlarged/printed and framed my 'Fairlyland' pic that made the TT a couple of weeks ago. I was so touched. It looks awesome - my first framed photo since I joined the project. Such a wonderful son I have that he is so thoughtful (and it helps that he shares my love of photography).
What a wonderful and thoughtful gift from your son! What a special young man he must be. You have raised him well, Jan! This is a gorgeous shot. Love the colors and silhouettes!
Wow what a beautiful sunset! I love all the silhouettes of the trees and mountains! What a lovely thing for your son to do! How kind and thoughtful knowing how special that shot was to you! Fav!
Wow...how cool that he surprised you! And I bet that pic is a fabulous pic for the wall! This is a beautiful sunset Jan...they have been better every night!
What a terrific gift from your son -- that is so thoughtful! And a great choice for framing, btw. And this image is stunning -- I love the way you've captured the layers.
