OK...... I know..... It's wrong to have favourites. But this is Joey Boy one of my 4 foster donkeys. Nobody knows much about him except that he is approximately 26 years old and was brought over from Ireland a few years ago by the Donkey Sanctuary. The scars on his legs and the way that he flinches when you touch his back show that he has had a tough time over the years, but he remains the most gentle and trusting of creatures. I know I shouldn't say it, but even tho he looks a bit shabby, and is a bit rickety on his legs, out of the four of them he's my fav!

I've just been looking at your pictures and getting a bit dewy eyed as we left the Cotswolds – Enstone, near Chipping Norton – last September and when we get back from our current sabbatical in Crete will be moving to Scotland! Where, my husband has promised me, we might get a couple of donkeys! I love them. There are a few out here, mostly relatively well looked after, at least the ones we've seen. I also love you photos btw!
