So, yesterday's shepherd's sky wasn't lying. It was a beautiful, clear day for most of the day.
After taking the dogs out and feeding the animals I spent most of the day doing my and Graham's tax returns. He doesn't have time because he is too busy running his tax consultancy business. 🙄 So that's a job well done.
We live pretty much as far from the sea as it is possible to get in the UK. We love to eat fish but there are no fishmongers around so the only option is to buy it from the supermarket where the choice is quite limited. My cousin recently told me about a company who deliver fish to the door, and I received my first order today.
It looks like beautiful fish (plaice, sea bass, tuna, gurnard, monkfish and skate) and was still perfectly chilled when it was unpacked. I have frozen most of it including these two gurnard, but had a delicious meal of a thick plaice fillet and vegetables roasted in Chinese five spice seasoning this evening. Yum!
My Mum's neighbours daughter who is in hospital with Covid is considerably better today, and may be going home tomorrow. Good news, though this evening's Downing Street press conference was a bit of a downer - so much uncertainty about so many things.
Beautiful fish...such a lovely colour. We can buy good fresh fish in Fleetwood although it’s not the fishing town it was sadly. We never do though but have some nice local fish shops & the market fish van.

I am not a lover but super photo. Yes COVID news is confusing. We have had 3 cases in our family, luckily all youngsters, my granddaughter a niece and a nephew.
