today the art group I belong to in our village had an outing to Compton Verney. At the moment they have an exhibition of impressionist art called "into the light" running alongside a collection of Gainsborough's landscapes - all very interesting.
After our tour we were supposed to be using our newly acquired inspiration and insight to do our own sketches in the grounds. Unfortunately the heavens opened so I had to make do with taking a few photographs instead.
