the hospital that never was

this is the Lord Leycester Hospital in Warwick. Had to drive there this morning to take one of my boys to school because he has got his trumpet exam today. At least if he doesn't do very well he has got the excuse that he has got a broken hand!

Took this quick shot on my way through the town - just as well I got it really because a couple of minutes later it started raining and it hasn't stopped since. This is the first time I have ever considered putting the heating on in July.

More information about the building is available here: http://lordleycester.com/

Over half way through the project now - such a good feeling. At times I have thought that I wouldn't get this far and still have managed to take a shot every day, but it looks like I have surprised myself.
Great tudor architecture... the black and white really highlights the beautiful lines in this photo!

I like the black and white for this. Have you been in the tea room behind here? It's pretty good - or it was when I went at least!

B&W was a great choice. It reallly emphasises the higgledy piggledy nature of the buildings :)

Great B&W photo! It gives it some age because it is hard to believe this building is 200 years old!

Cracking shot. Perfect for B&W.

Good luck to the aspiring trumpeter :-)
