Today, the people in our village who opened their gardens and allotments to the public last month took a tour of each others' gardens. This was followed up by a barbecue at our house. There was a good turnout with almost 30 people taking part. The sun even made a bit of an appearance which was a bonus.
This photo was taken in one of the gardens. Staddle stones used to be used to support grain stores with one on each corner allowing the air to circulate underneath. Nowadays they are collectors items and are only used for decorative purposes.
