this swan was taking a rest on the grass in Stratford today. I went into Stratford to pick my eldest son up from school, so got there a bit early so I could get a photograph. Just after I parked my car I was walking along the river bank when I spotted Angus rowing as part of an eight. I had forgotten that he had games that day and it really brought a smile to my face to see him.
On a more negative note, when I arrived home I was given the very sad news that a dear neighbour of ours had passed away earlier that day. The village will not be the same without him.
Lovely shot. I'm sorry to hear about your neighbour as I am going to miss 2 of my friends whose funerals I will attend next week. Autumn seems to be a time of shedding things, leaves and it seems lives as well
