into the kitchen

lots of time will be spent in here over the next few days. There will be 13 of us here from Christmas Eve to the 27th, and an extra four for lunch on Christmas day. My husband and his brother do most of the Christmas Day cooking (i.e. the glory cooking!), but even so there wont me much time for sitting around for me.

I really like the shallow depth of field on this picture - mostly because it means you can't see how untidy my kitchen is!
Goodness, that's a lot! I do hope you will enjoy having all those people! There will be lots of talking and lots of dishes to do!

What a wonderful shot and I love a busy house at Christmas. I'm spoilt though as I'm rubbish at cooking so Shaun does it and I help with preparing and clearing!

I agree with Helen, it is very warm and welcoming and your wreath is beautiful, did you make it yourself?

Lovely shot, nice bokeh. I used to do Christmas dinner for 15, I miss those times.

Love this. The colours are pretty and the dof is perfect, just giving a glimpse of your kitchen. Looks clean and tidy to me!!!

The heart of the home. There is so much warmth in your shot.

I can't imagine 13 people in my home for 3 days! I'm sure a good time will be had by all. :-)

Love everything about this Jan! Faved it. I've taken a quick "flyby" through your "365", and there's huge interest there, so I'm following your work now. I enjoy the variety, animals, scenery, Nature photos, all well done.:D You have a keen eye for compostion, and appeal. You have a WONDERful portfolio! Plus, when I traveled through England (a lifetime ago) the Cotswolds were a favorite a place, and I'll enjoy seeing what you have of them to share. Disclaimer: I'm not very active right now, so my viewing and commenting will likely be uneven. Take care, Les
