Another appearance from Pike the Otterhound taken on our walk on Monday. You can't really tell from the photo but he is a big lad at nearly three feet tall and weighing about 120lbs. As I said in the picture that appeared in my extras album on Monday. He doesn't bark, woof or yap. He 'bays' like all good hounds should. Here he is mid-bay:
The Otterhound is the most endangered native breed in the UK (only 11 were registered in 2011) and there are only thought to be 1000 in the world.
It's a filler I'm afraid. I did take a few photos today, all of which were useless so went out this evening for a sunset shot - no visible sunset. Just as well it's Filler Friday.
Not the most interesting of days. Went over and saw my Mum and Dad for a couple of hours this morning, then chores all afternoon. Still not heard from Sam and am firmly adopting a 'no news is good news' policy. Looking forward to the weather warming up a bit over the weekend.
I think I prefer this to your other shot of him. I like that all you can see is hair and nose and the slight hint of an eye. I also like the close crop.
Like the focus on his nose
