best viewed large to get a better look at the pigs' expressions (and Momma pig's eyelashes) if you have time
no congratulations are necessary, our pigs aren't due to farrow until the middle of July. These ones belong to a friend of mine, they are a week old.
Mum (Bertha) is a Berkshire/Large White cross and Dad is an Oxford Sandy and Black which is the same breed as our girls. Some of the babies take after Mum and some take after Dad. She is a very attentive mother and while I was there was fussing around the babies, tidying up the bedding and feeding them. As you can see from the look in her eye she didn't seem to be too sure about me being there so I just took a few quick shots and left her to it.
Apologies for the continued lack of commenting from me, I will try to make up for it once next week is over - Promise!
Actually, when viewed large she looks really proud! I've got behind with my comments as well and I have loved you past couple of weeks of photos, especially the sheep stuck in a fence. I'm trying to catch up now!
She's brilliant up close! And has very cute babies - hard to imagine a pig tidying up though. @jewelsandbinoculars LOL! Yes a great shame they sizzle so nicely.
