It is forecast to be a grim, grey day today and I don't envisage getting out with the camera, so here is a shot of my neighbours' garden gate that I took a few days ago.
Most of the day yesterday was taken up with the National Concert Band Festival in Northampton where Sam was performing in one of his school's bands. His band did pretty well but didn't get through to the next round.
We were sat at eye level with the stage and I was just thinking how smart all of the boys were looking in their school uniforms when I noticed a pair of bright turquoise stripey socks glaring out from amongst all the other black ones. No need to say who was wearing them! (note to self - check his sockage before leaving the house next time......)
Funny how your eye homed in to a recognisable sock....I like a bright sock myself & it was his little bit of originality!
Beautiful gateway with that sweeping hedge!
So pretty, I'd love a little wrought iron gate like that surrounded by beautiful coloured leaves. I admire your son's individualism, it means he knows his own mind.
Lovely capture - such beautiful light
Beautiful gateway with that sweeping hedge!
Made me laugh to read about the socks...sounds like a typical boy thing!
Thanks!
Sigh... someday!
